Doing it, step by step
Install it the way your platform allows
On Android and Google TV, take it from the Play Store. On a Fire TV Stick, sideload it with Downloader, which the Firestick guide covers step by step. On iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, use the App Store. On Samsung and LG televisions, use the manufacturer's own store. On Windows and macOS, download the desktop build from the link in your activation message. The app is the same in each case; only the delivery differs.
Open it and accept the terms
The first launch shows a terms screen and, on mobile, asks for a couple of permissions. Accept them. On Fire OS, remember that the app lands at the end of Your Apps and Channels rather than in the main row, which is where people most often conclude the installation failed.
Choose Login with Xtream Codes API
This is the choice that matters most in the whole process. The Xtream option brings the channel list, the programme guide and the on-demand library. The M3U or playlist option brings channels alone, with no guide and no films, and it is the single most common reason somebody believes half of what they bought is missing. Take the Xtream option.
Enter the three values exactly as sent
Give the profile any name you like. Then type the server address including the http:// prefix and the port number, followed by your username and password. All three are case-sensitive. If you are pasting from WhatsApp, watch for a trailing space that the chat app adds invisibly, which produces an invalid credentials message that looks like a bad account.
Let it download, then set the decoder
The channel list arrives first and the guide follows. Once it is playing, open Settings, then Player settings, and set the decoder to hardware. This hands the decoding work to the device's video chip rather than its main processor and removes a large share of all stuttering complaints before they happen. If hardware causes problems on an unusual device, try the software option instead.
Build a favourites row
Find the thirty or forty channels the household genuinely watches and add each to favourites - on most platforms by holding the select button on the channel. A list of twenty-five thousand entries is unusable as it stands, and a curated row of forty is better than the guide you are leaving behind. This is the single highest-value ten minutes in the entire setup.
Learn the on-demand section
The films and series live in a separate area of the app from the live channels, usually labelled Movies and Series on the main screen. People frequently miss it entirely and assume the on-demand library was never included. It is filed by genre and by platform and it is searchable, which is the quickest way to find something specific.
When something goes wrong
Invalid credentials on first login
Check the server address first, since it causes most of these: it needs http:// at the front and the port at the end. Then re-type the username and password by hand rather than pasting, because chat applications frequently carry an invisible trailing space. If all three are definitely right, confirm on WhatsApp that the account or trial has not expired, which produces the identical error message.
The app loads channels but shows no films or series
The account was almost certainly added as an M3U playlist rather than an Xtream login. Delete the profile and add it again, choosing Login with Xtream Codes API. An M3U link carries live channels only by design, so nothing is missing from your subscription.
Stuttering during the evening only
Set the decoder to hardware if you have not. Then look at the network rather than the app: a device on Wi-Fi at the far end of the house is the usual culprit, and an Ethernet cable or adapter settles it permanently. Where your internet provider throttles streaming at peak hours, the same channel will run perfectly at midday and badly at nine, which is the pattern to look for.
The programme guide is blank or partial
Guide data downloads separately and more slowly than the channel list, so allow several minutes on a first run. If it stays blank, force a refresh in the app's settings. Partial coverage, where some channels have guide data and others do not, is normal across every provider and is not a fault on the account.

Questions people ask about the IPTV Smarters Pro
Is IPTV Smarters Pro free?
The app itself is free on every platform where it appears, and it is not a trial. What you pay for separately is the subscription that goes into it. A player with no subscription entered is an empty shell that carries no channels at all, which is worth knowing before downloading anything that advertises free television.
Should I use Smarters or TiViMate?
Start with Smarters because it is free and installs everywhere. Move to TiViMate when the basic guide starts to annoy you, which for most households happens the first time they try to plan an evening around a fixture. TiViMate only exists on Android hardware, and both take exactly the same login, so trying it costs nothing but a download.
Can I use one account on several devices at once?
Install it on as many devices as you like. What the plan limits is how many streams play simultaneously, not how many copies of the app hold your login. On a one-connection plan, a second device attempting to play will be refused until the first stops.
Why are there several apps with similar names?
Because the name has been widely copied, and some of the copies are not trustworthy. Take it from your platform's official store, or from the link sent to you on WhatsApp, and avoid anything found through a general web search offering a modified or unlocked version.
